I am a strawberry fan, it being one of my favourite fruits to eat. I also love raw honey, its medicinal properties helps reduce sore throats and make menstrual pains more manageable. There are other many good reasons to consumes them, of course. Few weeks ago, I was on a media trip to Genting Highlands Strawberry Leisure Farm and Happy Bee Farm and Insect World. Both of these places are located at Genting Highlands.
Strawberry Leisure Farm
Founded by Mr. K.C. Chung, the Strawberry Leisure Farm in Genting Highlands is one of the popular attractions available here. Located at Gohtong Jaya, you do not have to climb all the way up to the top of Genting Highlands to visit this farm. The Genting Highlands Strawberry Leisure Farm is located directly at town, opposite the Mawar and Bunga Raya Apartments and next to the Sports Complex.
This place is a great place to be with family members, especially if you have young ones in your family. The popular family activity includes plucking your own strawberries directly from the plantation area and paying them by weight. The strawberries are weighted and charged from 100grams onwards. It is a great way to teach your children about the fruits as well as using the time together as “bonding time”.
Genting Highlands Strawberry Leisure Farm produces their own strawberry jams, preserved strawberries, strawberry flavoured honey sticks, biscuits and so much more. The prices are reasonable and the taste are unbelieveably good! I tried the strawberry biscuit and forgot to take a picture before finishing it because it was so delicious.
Other things available at the Genting Highlands Strawberry Leisure Farm are :
- Flowers (of many variety and colors)
- Herbs
- Mushrooms
- Hydroponic Vegetables
Happy Bee Farm
Happy Bee Farm and Insect World is located along the main road, very nearby the Strawberry Leisure Farm. If you are driving, it will take less than 10 minutes from the Strawberry Leisure Farm to arrive at Happy Bee Farm and Insect World. There are ample parking spots for you to park your vehicle.
You may look and learn about local honey production and sample some of the honey produced at the farm. There is an admission ticket for these activities :
- Guided tour of the premises
- Honey Tasting (many types of honey available)
- View gallery of live & mounted insects (of various types from Malaysia and overseas)
- Complimentary honey-based drink at the cafe.
There are so many information to be learned on bee pollen, royal jelly, propolis, honey comb and others.
At the end of your tour at the Happy Bee Farm and Insect World, before leaving the farm, there is a boutique selling handicrafts, souvenirs, picture frames with mounted insects and they also sell live beetles for those interested to keep them as pets. Honey-based products are also available like soaps, balms, sweets and many more.
The Happy Bee Farm and Insect World is opened from 9am – 9pm. The admission tickets are priced at :

Wow, I guess, this is the season of people going to CH 😀 hihi I’ve read many posts recently on other people’s trip. Been there last August, I miss all the food at the night market like cendawan goreng etc T_T
U meant to GH (Genting Highlands) right? People are starting to be aware of the existence of this place nowadays. Coz mostly when there’s talk of strawberry park, it’s the one in Cameron Highlands that people think of first.
Baru je ke sini minggu ni, Genting highland memang terbaik untuk dilawati.
