In conjunction with Citrawarna 2016, Gaya Travel Magazine brought 40 journalists and bloggers for a media familiarisation trip called “Eat.Travel.Write.Doodle – Kuala Lumpur”. The trip is in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC) Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia. Participants are from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
Eat.Travel.Write.Doodle – Kuala Lumpur
The launch of Eat.Travel.Write.Doodle – Kuala Lumpur was held at Rebung Restaurant, Lake Garden, Kuala Lumpur. Graced by Datuk Rashidi bin Hasbullah, the Deputy Secretary General of MOTAC. He was joined by Mdm Noraza Yusof, General Manager of Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau (KLTB) and Mr Juhan Kamaruddin, Chief Editor of Gaya Travel Magazine.
“The objective of Eat.Travel.Write.Doodle – Kuala Lumpur is to familiarise journalists, bloggers and social media influencers with Kuala Lumpur’s attractions and gastronomic offerings. Participants will visit places such as KL Tower’s latest attraction, the Upside Down House, and go for Kuala Lumpur Heritage Walk. Familiarisation trips such as this is to maximise the power of social media via creative postings and live updates by the participants.” – Datuk Rashidi.
Starting from 24th of September, the trip will bring participants to some of Kuala Lumpur’s famous spots such as KL City Gallery, Kampung Bharu, Kuala Lumpur Heritage Walk and will end on 26th of September.
The highlight of the familiarisation trip is definitely Citrawarna 2016 where it will be staged at Dataran Merdeka Kuala Lumpur, in front of Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, along with other VIPs and international dignitaries.
